Roco Kingdom Battle Basics
PvP in Roco Kingdom equalizes Jini levels, so duels are decided by elemental matchups, team building and skill timing rather than by who has played longer. PvE encounters happen in the open world.
Most creature collectors let the player with the higher level win. Roco Kingdom deliberately does the opposite in PvP: Jini levels are equalized, and the developer describes the result as "strategy over stats".
That single design choice is why the battle system is worth learning instead of grinding through. Your team, your elemental coverage and your timing are the whole game.
The three layers of combat
Wild encounters. Out in Carosia, Jinies react to you before they fight you. A cautious approach can end in a pact; a hostile one ends in a scrap. Early encounters are where you learn what each type does.
Duels and PvP. Player battles run with equalized levels and an 18-class advantage system. Victory comes from elemental matchups and skill traits, and the developers describe single decisive moves turning a duel.
Co-op and debugging with friends. Roco Kingdom is listed on Steam with Online Co-op and Online PvP, and the world supports Cross-Platform Multiplayer. You can spar with a friend to test a lineup without a ranked stake.
Modes as listed by the store and the developer

| Cross-platform play | Steam Cross-Platform Multiplayer | PC and mobile in one pool |
Why elemental coverage matters more than raw power
The six Jini the official site showcases already span Light, Flora, Fire, Water, Havoc and Common. With an 18-class advantage chart sitting under those labels, a team that only covers two elements will run into walls that a weaker-but-broader team walks through.
Practical reading of that:
- Do not build around one favourite. Because levels are equalized, a single over-levelled Jini is not the win condition it would be elsewhere.
- Carry an answer to each common matchup. Six show up in the marketing alone; build for breadth first.
- Learn the skill traits, not just the types. The developer explicitly ties duels to elemental matchups and skill traits, so two Jinies of the same type can play completely differently.
- Use co-op to test. Sparring is the cheapest way to find out whether a lineup folds against a specific class.
What is not published
There is no official English damage formula, no frame data, and no tier list. Anything that claims otherwise for a game that has not launched globally is guesswork, and this site does not publish invented numbers.
How to build your first team and what the Jini types mean are the two pages to read next.
