Roco Kingdom Magic Academy and Home
The Magic Academy is the structured half of Roco Kingdom: you pick a school, attend an Outdoor Classroom, join seasonal events and climb the Academy Points Tournament, while building a home base friends can visit.
The open world gets the trailers, but the Magic Academy is where Roco Kingdom puts its structure. You are a student first: lessons, school events and a points ladder run alongside the creature collecting, and the home base is what you build with the rewards.
Choosing a school
The official feature copy says players pick from various prestigious schools rather than being assigned one. The choice flavours your academy life — the events you take part in, the students you spend time with — while the creature-collecting loop stays open to everyone.
Because schools sit inside one academy, the choice is a social and cosmetic identity rather than a class system that locks you out of content. Nothing in the official material suggests a school determines which Jinies you can bond with.
The Outdoor Classroom
Lessons are not confined to a building. The Outdoor Classroom is the academy's field programme: you study out in Carosia, where the Jinies actually live.
That framing is doing real work in the design. The Academy and the wild are not two separate games bolted together — the field programme is the bridge, and it is why a student character can spend most of their time in a meadow without it feeling like truancy.
Seasonal events and the points ladder
Two systems carry academy life over time:
- Seasonal themed school events, which rotate with the calendar and give the year a rhythm.
- The Academy Points Tournament, a competition that runs from novice wizard upward toward grand master rank.
Industry experience with live games says the tournament is where academy progression will actually live: a repeating ladder is the cheapest way to give a school setting long-term goals.
The home base
Your home is the part of the game the developer describes as yours: a place you build, decorate and open to friends. Visiting each other's homes is listed alongside holding hands, riding Jinies together and sparring as the social verbs of the world.
Practically, the home does three jobs:
- Storage and organisation for a collection that grows into the hundreds.
- A social anchor — the reason to keep friends on your list beyond a single co-op session.
- A creative outlet that does not touch combat balance, which is exactly the kind of system a free-to-play game can afford to make deep.
Systems that tie it together
Two named systems connect the home, the school and your friends:
| System | What it does |
|---|---|
| Jini Blessing | Lets friends take part in raising your Jinies |
| Lineup Mirroring | Shares team setups so friends can copy a working lineup |
| Twin styles / Magic Touch | Matches your outfit with your Jini's look and swaps style sets |
Twin styles is the one to watch if you care about cosmetics: the official copy treats matching looks as a core feature rather than an afterthought, which fits the appearance-variant side of collecting.
