Roco Kingdom Jinies and Pacts
Jinies are the magical creatures you meet across Carosia. The official count is 400+, every individual varies in height, weight and temperament, and you bond with them through pacts rather than capturing them like items.
Every system in Roco Kingdom is downstream of one idea: the Jinies are alive, they belong to the world, and you are a guest in it. The developers call them living manifestations of magic — creatures hatched from eggs and shaped by the environment they grow up in.
That is why the game talks about pacts instead of captures. You are not filling a box; you are convincing something to travel with you.
What the official material confirms
- 400+ unique Jinies roam Carosia.
- No two are identical. Even within a species, individuals vary in height, size and weight.
- They live their own lives. Jinies roam freely, play, gather around music, hide behind magical disguises, and react to gestures, performances and photographs.
- Pacts grow. The bond is a relationship the game tracks over time, not a one-off taming roll.
- Rare appearances exist. The official site lists prismatic, chromatic and nightmare-corrupted variants — a Jini you have already met can still surprise you.
The six Jini on the official showcase
The official site rotates six Jinies with published height, weight and type. They are the best look at how much the roster varies — Vargyr weighs roughly twenty times what Cerulla does.
| Jini | Type | Height | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dimo | Light | 0.54–0.78 m | 5.5–7 kg |
| Meevy | Flora | 0.53–0.75 m | 3.62–4.6 kg |
| Sparka | Fire | 0.53–0.71 m | 7.6–8.5 kg |
| Cerulla | Water | 0.45–0.65 m | 2.85–4.205 kg |
| Vargyr | Havoc | 1.23–1.76 m | 74–92 kg |
| Duckiji | Common | 0.65–0.94 m | 14.6–17.6 kg |
The official notes on the six are worth reading as flavour rather than stats: Dimo is written as a story about courage, Meevy as a shy tail-wagger that darts off when startled, Sparka as an honest and slightly reckless firecracker, Cerulla as a bubble-popper wearing a red bow, Vargyr as a brawler whose chest fur works like armour, and Duckiji as the fluffy common one.
Those types — Light, Flora, Fire, Water, Havoc, Common — are also the vocabulary the battle system uses. How those matchups decide duels covers the 18-class advantage system.
What a pact actually changes
Three things shift once a Jini is bonded to you:
- It travels and fights with you. Duels are fought by your team of Jinies, not by your character swinging a sword.
- It grows. The bond is what develops its abilities; a Jini left in the roster does not progress the same way.
- It can be mirrored. The Lineup Mirroring system lets friends share team setups, and Jini Blessing gives the raising side of the game a social layer.
Where the variants fit
Prismatic, chromatic and nightmare-corrupted appearances are the long tail of collecting. Because the base species is fixed but the appearance is not, two players can own the same Jini and still have visibly different companions. That is the part of the collection loop that survives contact with a 400-entry roster.
