Roco Kingdom FAQ

Quick answer

Roco Kingdom is a free-to-play open-world creature collector from Morefun Studios. It is not out yet, the closed beta opens October 27, 2026, and it is confirmed for PC, mobile and console storefronts.

A traveller and a Jini on a country road in Roco Kingdom (official Steam store screenshot) These are the questions that come up in the Steam forum and in search, answered with what the official material actually says. Where the answer is a player report rather than a developer statement, it says so.

Is Roco Kingdom free to play?

Yes. Steam lists it as Free To Play and there is no paid edition, no pre-order and no early-access purchase.

Is it a gacha game?

Nothing official describes a gacha. Steam lists In-App Purchases, the developer markets the world as having "zero paywalls", and PvP equalizes Jini levels — a design choice that removes the point of buying power. Forum players who followed the Chinese release describe paid pulls as cosmetic-only. That is a player report, not a press release.

What is confirmed about monetization

When does it come out?

No date. Steam reads Coming soon. The only scheduled build is the Quack Quack Test closed beta on October 27, 2026.

Release date status

Can I still get into the beta?

Sign-up closed on October 20, 2026, and access is being handed out in waves from October 23. Applicants can check My Access on rocokingdom.com with their Level Infinite account. If you never applied, pre-registering still enters you for test keys through the site's Lucky Drops.

Chinese voice acting?

No. Steam marks full audio for English and Japanese only.

Battle modes explained

Does beta progress carry over?

No. Every character and all progress is wiped when the Quack Quack Test ends, and purchases are disabled for the whole test.

Can I change my character name?

Forum players report a free name change every 7 days, with accounts identified by UID rather than by name. Player report, not official.

Is there breeding?

Forum replies describe an egg-group breeding system that mostly iterates a Jini's size and voice, with natures inherited. It is a player report; the official English material does not document breeding.

Who makes it?

Morefun Studios develops and publishes Roco Kingdom. The series started as a web game 16 years earlier and drew more than 300 million registered players within four years.

Is there a Switch version?

Not announced — no Nintendo platform appears on Steam or the official storefront panel.
